FAQs
Your Questions Answered
For your convenience, we’ve put together a list of some common questions and answers. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Drop us a line and our support team will be happy to find the answer for you.
I don’t have my insurance card with me, can I still receive treatment?
As long as your insurance information was provided at intake and was able to be verified prior to your appointment you will be able to receive services with an adult or parents photo ID. You may bring your insurance card to the next appointment for verification.
How much will my copayment be?
Your co-pay will be dependent on the amount dictated by your insurance plan for mental health treatment. If you owe SBSCC more than the co-pay of 3 sessions, your services will go on hold until your co-pays are caught up to a zero balance.
What is your new patient procedure?
New clients will be required to provide their insurance information & reason for treatment request at the time of their intake phone call. New Patients must have medical rights for children in their care to assure services &/or provide documentation of said rights for minors. All new clients will be asked to come to their initial intake appointment 20-30 minutes early to complete their intake & consent paperwork. If you would like to complete it prior to the appointment, please let us know & we will send it to you through the patient portal prior to your first appointment.
Where are you located and how can I contact you?
Our new location is: 410 E. 6th Ave. Tarentum, PA 15084.
We can be reached by phone or text at 412-212-3111 or by email at krschmidt@sbscc.org. Please understand that we are a small private practice. Therapist's are often in back to back sessions and can't always answer calls right away but will get back to you as soon as they can.
